El fotógrafo húngaro László Francsics fue nombrado ganador general del Insight Investment Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2019. Su imagen cautivadora, 'Into the Shadow', representa las 35 fases del eclipse lunar total que ocurrió el 21 de enero de 2019.
El Insight Astronomy Photographer of the Year, organizado por el Real Observatorio de Greenwich en asociación con Insight Investment y la revista de la BBC Sky at Night se ha postulado durante los últimos años como uno de los certámenes de fotografía astronómica más prestigiosos del mundo. Durante la presente edición, la undécima desde sus comienzos en el año 2008, el concurso ha recibido más de 4.600 imágenes de fotógrafos procedentes de más de 90 países de todo el mundo.
